Collaborative Leadership:  Opportunity Finance Network

1/13/2014

At VCC, we believe strongly in collaborative leadership. We see the importance of strong partnerships in virtually everything we do: supporting affordable housing, strengthening communities, creating jobs, and encouraging innovative capital.

VCC is a proud member of the Opportunity Finance Network (OFN), a national organization for Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). And OFN is an important national partner in all we do.

This month, OFN introduced a new video describing the work of the opportunity finance industry. Entitled “We Believe in Opportunity. For All,” the video discusses the many ways CDFIs foster economic and community development. We’ve posted the video on our Website and encourage you to view it here.

OFN has also recently launched a news feed featuring the many accomplishments underway by CDFIs. An article by VCC President and CEO Jane Henderson is featured at this site, CDFIConnect.org. See news item How Global Forces Are Shaping a Virginia CDFI here.

Collaborative leadership ties into a VCC credo we have long embraced: “Let’s do more, together.” Our team members are ready to work with you on building your vision and dreams.
